Submission Guidelines
We want your recipe to shine, and these basic guidelines help keep everything smooth and consistent:
- Original Content: Your submission should be your own, unpublished elsewhere.
- Word Count: Aim for at least 500 words, with 800–1000 preferred for full recipes and storytelling.
- Structure:
- Brief intro to the dish and why it matters to you
- Ingredients list (with accurate quantities)
- Step-by-step instructions (clear and simple)
- Any personal touches, variations, or cultural context

Please include the following:
- Your recipe in a Word doc, Google doc, or plain text
- Your photos (attached as JPEG or PNG files)
- A short 2–3 sentence bio about you
- Optional: a link to your blog, Instagram, or portfolio
We’ll get back to you within 7–10 business days if your recipe is selected. Due to high volume, we might not be able to reply to every submission, but we appreciate each one.

Yes. Lumbre is a space without food restrictions. We welcome all types of recipes from all kinds of cooks.
What if I’ve never written for a food site before?
No worries at all. We’re more interested in your story and how you talk about food. If your passion comes through, that’s what matters.
Is this a paid opportunity?
At the moment, contributions are unpaid but fully credited. As we grow, we’re exploring options for paid features, guest posts, and brand collabs.
