Respecting Creative Work
At Lumbre.sg, we care deeply about creativity. Recipes, food photography, stories behind every dish — they all come from someone’s heart and hard work. This site started from a spark, a late-night bite, and a reminder that great food doesn’t need rules. But when it comes to content, especially online, we do follow one rule: give credit where it’s due.
We’re excited to bring together flavors from every corner of the globe, offering everything from time-honored classics to bold, experimental fusion recipes. With this global passion comes a responsibility to respect creators’ rights. If you believe your copyrighted material has been used here without permission, we’re ready to listen and take action.
A Quick Note for Creators
We totally get it, you’ve spent hours developing that perfect dish or capturing just the right shot. If something on Lumbre.sg uses your original content without your OK, let us know. We don’t want to step on any toes, and we take copyright issues seriously.
We also want to maintain the integrity of this site. While we welcome all kinds of contributors, posts, and ideas, everything shared here must be fair and respectful to original creators.
How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice
If you’re a copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe your intellectual property is being used without permission on this site, here’s what you need to do.
Please send us a written notification that includes the following:

- A clear statement that you did not authorize this use

What Happens Next
Once we receive a valid DMCA takedown request, here’s what we do:
- We review it. We’ll look into the claim to ensure it meets all DMCA requirements.
- We may remove or disable the content. If the complaint is valid, we’ll take action quickly, usually within a few days.
- We notify the content uploader. That way, they have a chance to respond with a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was made in error.
- We stay neutral. We don’t take sides. We just follow the law and make sure everyone is treated fairly.
If a counter-notice is filed, and we don’t receive proof of a court action within 14 days, the removed content may be restored.
Fair Use and Grey Areas
Sometimes, content falls into what’s called “fair use”. This might include commentary, review, parody, or educational use. If the content in question was used in this way, it might not be considered infringement.
Still, these situations can get complicated. That’s why we evaluate every case individually. If you're submitting a DMCA notice, we recommend doing your own research or speaking with a legal advisor before you send anything.
For Our Users and Contributors
We welcome recipes and stories from all over the world, and we love when our community shares their flavor. But please, only submit content you own or have permission to use. That includes images, text, and videos.
If you’re inspired by someone else’s work, give them credit. Mention their name, link to their site, or drop a quick shout-out. It’s not just respectful, it builds trust in our community.
Submitting copied or stolen content not only hurts creators, it can also get your content removed and may limit your ability to contribute in the future.
Our DMCA Compliance Policy
To remain compliant with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we follow a set of clear steps to address any concerns related to copyrighted material on Lumbre.sg. Our policy aims to make sure that content on our platform respects the intellectual property rights of others while also providing a fair process for resolving disputes.
1. Takedown Process
If you believe that your copyrighted material has been posted on Lumbre.sg without permission, please follow the DMCA takedown process outlined earlier. Our team will investigate the claim and, if appropriate, remove or disable access to the infringing content.
2. Counter-Notices
If you believe that your content was removed by mistake or under incorrect identification, you can file a counter-notice. Please ensure you follow the legal requirements for this process, which include:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- A description of the material that was removed or disabled
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed by mistake
- Your physical or electronic signature
Once we receive a valid counter-notice, we’ll review it promptly. If we do not receive any legal action within 14 days of the notice, we may restore the content in question.
3. Repeat Infringers
We are committed to taking action against repeat infringers. If a user repeatedly submits content that violates copyright law, their access to Lumbre.sg may be suspended or terminated.
4. Transparent and Fair Process
Our goal is to be transparent, fair, and respectful in handling all DMCA-related issues. We encourage communication and hope to resolve any disputes in a manner that is just for all parties involved. Copyright is important, but so is creativity and collaboration. We want everyone to feel heard and respected.
