Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Apples peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ cup Raisins
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs toasted
  • 1 package Phyllo dough
  • ½ cup Butter melted

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and raisins.
  3. Lay out a sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter. Repeat with 4 more sheets, stacking them.
  4. Spread the toasted breadcrumbs over the phyllo dough, leaving a border around the edges.
  5. Place the apple mixture on top of the breadcrumbs. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling and roll it up.
  6. Place the strudel on a baking sheet and brush the top with more melted butter.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool before serving.
