Bananas Foster
A classic New Orleans dessert made with bananas, rum, and a delicious caramel sauce.

Main Ingredients
- 4 bananas peeled and sliced
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup dark rum
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 pint vanilla ice cream
1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
2. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, and stir until the sugar dissolves.
3. Add the bananas and cook until they start to soften, about 2 minutes.
4. Carefully add the rum and allow it to warm for a few seconds. Then, using a long match or lighter, ignite the rum. Let the flames subside.
5. Serve the bananas and sauce over vanilla ice cream.
