  • 4 bananas peeled and sliced
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup dark rum
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream

Instructions 

  1. 1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, and stir until the sugar dissolves.
  3. 3. Add the bananas and cook until they start to soften, about 2 minutes.
  4. 4. Carefully add the rum and allow it to warm for a few seconds. Then, using a long match or lighter, ignite the rum. Let the flames subside.
  5. 5. Serve the bananas and sauce over vanilla ice cream.
