- 1 cup Butter softened
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
Stir in vanilla extract.
Gradually blend in the flour and salt until dough forms.
Roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes with cookie cutters.
Place cookies 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake for 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are lightly browned.
Cool on wire racks.
