- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the sugar, buttermilk, and corn syrup, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and whisk in the baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will foam up.
