  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  2. 2. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
  3. 3. Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  4. 4. Add the broccoli florets and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until the broccoli is tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Use a blender to puree the soup until smooth. Return to the pot.
  6. 6. Stir in the milk and heat through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
