Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 ¼ cups Warm milk
  • ½ cup Warm water
  • 1 teaspoon Active dry yeast

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
  2. In another bowl, mix warm milk, warm water, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the liquid mixture into the dry ingredients and whisk until smooth. Cover and let it rest for 1 hour.
  4. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and grease crumpet rings. Pour batter into rings and cook until bubbles form on the surface. Flip and cook the other side.
