Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Ham diced
- 2 cups Dried Beans soaked overnight
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 6 cups Water
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon Black Pepper to taste
1. In a large pot, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until translucent.
2. Add the diced ham and cook for another 5 minutes.
3. Add the soaked beans and water to the pot. Bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours or until beans are tender.
5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
