Instructions
1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until tender.

3. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
4. Add potatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
5. Stir in ham and milk. Cook until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
