Ham and Split Pea Soup Recipe
A hearty and comforting soup made with ham and split peas.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Dried split peas rinsed
- 1 Ham bone
- 1 cup Chopped ham
- 1 Onion chopped
- 2 Carrots chopped
- 2 Celery stalks chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 8 cups Chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- to taste Salt
1. In a large pot, combine split peas, ham bone, chopped ham, onion, carrots, celery, garlic, chicken broth, thyme, and black pepper.
2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
3. Remove the ham bone and discard. Season the soup with salt to taste.
4. Serve hot and enjoy!
