Ingredients 

Base Layer

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs

Custard Layer

  • ½ cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla custard powder
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Top Layer

  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract. Stir in shredded coconut and graham cracker crumbs. Press mixture into the bottom of an 8x8 inch baking pan.
  2. 2. For the custard layer, cream together softened butter, powdered sugar, custard powder, and milk until smooth. Spread over the base layer and chill in the refrigerator.
  3. 3. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and butter together in a saucepan over low heat. Spread melted chocolate over the custard layer. Chill until set.
  4. 4. Cut into bars and serve.
