Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 1 cup lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice (optional)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)

Instructions 

  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar has dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.
  2. Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp. In a pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice, and remaining 4 cups of cold water.
  3. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices if desired.
