  • 12 slices bread preferably day-old
  • 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 8 oz cream cheese cut into small cubes
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. 1. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange half the bread slices in the dish, and top with cream cheese cubes. Sprinkle 1 cup of blueberries over the cream cheese, and top with remaining bread slices.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Pour this mixture evenly over the bread. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. 3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Remove the dish from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  4. 4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
  5. 5. Serve warm, topped with the remaining blueberries and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
