Portuguese Custard Tarts Recipe

Custard
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
- 6 Egg Yolks
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Pastry
- 1 package Puff Pastry thawed
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a saucepan, combine sugar, milk, heavy cream, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, whisking constantly, until thickened.
Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and vanilla extract. Set aside to cool.
Roll out puff pastry and cut into 12 circles. Press into muffin tin.
Fill each pastry shell with custard mixture.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden and set.
Let cool before serving.
