Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 egg beaten
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in the heavy cream until just combined.
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead briefly.
Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick round and cut into 8 wedges.
Place the wedges on a baking sheet and brush with the beaten egg.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
