- 1 cup Sugar
- 6 Large Eggs
- 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk 14 oz
- 1 can Evaporated Milk 12 oz
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, melt sugar until golden. Carefully pour hot syrup into a round baking dish, turning the dish to evenly coat the bottom and sides. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs. Add sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth. Pour egg mixture into the baking dish over the caramelized sugar.
Place the baking dish in a larger pan filled with 1 inch of hot water. Bake in preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until set.
Let cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the dish and invert onto a serving plate.
