Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Unsalted butter
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Chocolate chips
- ½ cup Chopped nuts (optional)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C).
Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let them melt, then spread evenly.
Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using. Let the toffee cool completely before breaking it into pieces.
